Srila Gurudeva's Realisation

 

14 April: Our Most Revered Gurudeva Om Vishnupad 108 Sree Sreemat Bhakti Dayita Madhav Goswami Maharaj, out of compassion, when He accepted me as ascetic disciple, He allowed me to move with Him in His preaching tour in West Bengal, Assam and other places, continuously for one year. My special duty was to write letters as per His dictation. Once I was in the house of one household godbrother devotee Sree Khagen Das Prabhu at Sarbhog in Assam. Gurumaharaj was dictating and I was writing. There was no other person in the room. All of a sudden, Gurumaharaj stopped dictating and asked me to read attentively a lyric poem book— ‘Kalyan Kalpataru’, written by Sreela Bhakti Vinode Thakur. I was astonished to hear this order. It was my duty to obey the order of Sreela Gurudeva and I was going on reading the book. After reading about half portion of the book my voice was choked in ecstasy and I could not continue my reading. Then Gurudeva told me to discontinue reading. I was thinking deeply what was the cause of Sreela Gurudeva’s order to me to read the book. Perhaps I did not understand the gravity of the writings of Sreela Bhakti Vinode Thakur, thinking Him to be a household devotee. Sreela Gurudeva, by this gesture warned me that being a worldly enslaved jiva, for my actual devotional enhancement, I must not commit offence to the lotus feet of the Personal Associate of Lord Sree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu or Sree Radha-Krishna, whom Most Revered Gurudeva gave highest respect. How an enslaved jive like me could understand the deep implications of His writings? Most Revered Sreela Gurudeva, by His spiritual power, made me realize that the words of Sreela Bhakti Vinode Thakur are completely transcendental.

 

Sreela Bhakti Vinode Thakur and Sreela Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur descended from the Highest Transcendental Realm— Vrajadham. They are devoted to Rupamanjari and Their realized transcendental Names are ‘Kamal Manjari’ and ‘Nayanmani Manjari’ respectively.

 

I may be an enslaved person, but it is true that I have got direct realization of the transcendental words of Sreela Bhakti Vinode Thakur.
