Even atheist wants Sacidananda
-Srila Gurudeva
03 Aug: Many people claim they don't believe in any religion. However on a closer look, we can see there is no such possibility of not believing in dharma or religion in this world.
Those who says that they do not believe in any religion; I want to ask them- Do they not believe in the body's religion of eating, drinking, sleeping and evacuating? Do they not believe in the religion of mind? Yet, they may say that they do not believe in the atma-dharma (religion of soul). But how can they believe in something, when they even not know about it?
Don't atheists want to live forever? Do they always want to remain fools? Don't they want any knowledge and happiness? Such desire for eternity, knowledge and happiness is referred as sat, cit and ananda (eternity, knowledge, and bliss) in scriptures.
Only way to attain saccidananda is by serving Supreme lord, which is the eternal religion of every living entity. Living beings are the part of the marginal potency of all powerful Supreme Lord. Therefore they are also sacidananda, though very minute. While Lord is infinitely sacidananda. So by desiring for eternity, knowledge and happiness everyone actually desires for sacidananda Lord directly or indirectly. These so called atheists do not know how to fulfill their desire for getting sacidananda. The path they are following, it's impossible to attain sat, cit and ananda in that.
