Introduction  Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu appeared in Sri Mayapur five centuries ago, Nadia, in western Bengal (India), firstly, to revive the transcendental pastimes of Supreme Lord Sri Krishna, accepting the style of adoration of Srimati Radharani and secondly to propagate Harinam Sankirtan for the benefit of the human beings and all the alive beings of the world.
Sree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math (SCGM) propogates the same Harinam Sankirtan movement that was inaugurated by the Golden Lord, Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Founder Acharya Sree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math, with 22 centers all over India, was established by His Divine Grace Om Vishnupada 108 Sri Srimad Bhakti Dayita Madhava Goswami Maharaj, one of the favorite disciples of His Divine Grace Om 108 Sri Srimad Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupada, and the tenth Acarya in the perceptional channel from Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
President Acharya  The Institution is headed by the President Acarya, His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaj. He is recognized by all the major Acaryas of Gaudiya Vaisanava lineage as an exalted spiritual personality among the second generation disciples (Prashishya-Varga) of Srila Prabhupada Saraswati Thakur.
His Divine Grace is an authority in the Gaudiya Vaisnava Philosophy. "Example is better than precept" is His way of preaching. During the last five decades, Srila Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Maharaj has been engaged extensively in the propagation of the doctrine of the Transcendental Divine Love of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. |
