Mission Statement
To maintain and practice theistic spiritual culture throughout the world and especially to practice and propagate the Gospel of Divine Love: 1) as described in the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Srimad Bhagavatam, the Bhagavad-gita, and other allied revealed scriptures; 2) as propounded by Lord Sri Krishnachaitanya Mahaprabhu; 3) as practiced and taught by Gaudiya Vaishnava Acharyas (spiritual teachers) in the preceptorial line descended from Mahaprabhu Himself.
To help people visualize the underlying thread of unity amongst themselves in spite of diversity, and thus promote loving, friendly relations with all irrespective of nationality, religious faith, caste, creed, political outlook etc., so as to act as an effective counter to the downward disruptive tendencies in society towards violence and malice.
To practice and propagate the "Yugadharma" of chanting of the Holy Name of the Supreme Lord throughout the world, and to hold regular meetings of Sankirtan (congregational chanting) for the general population.
To practice and propagate non-violence to all living entities on the planet as described in the Vedas.
To promote the study of religion and research in Vaishnava literature by means of: the transcription and translation of Vaishnava works and lectures; publication and distribution of books and articles on Vaishnava philosophy, comparative religion, history and science insomuch as they may relate to devotional practice; making these materials available to the general public via a magazine site on the World Wide Web.
To assist in the sponsorship of preaching tours of Vaishnava Acharyas from India and other parts of the world and to provide the public with opportunities to hear divine discourses from these spiritual teachers.
To speak at colleges, schools, churches and other public institutions.
To distribute prasadam (spiritualized vegetarian food) to the public.
GOKUL holds regular meetings, which include sankirtana, readings from the sacred scriptures, spiritual discourse and partaking of prasadam.
